Jennifer made her debut with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 with Christopher Hogwood on April 13th.

HALLGRIMSSON CONCERTO
This beautiful new concerto by Haflidi Hallgrimsson was commissioned by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and written especially for Jennifer, the inspiration coming after the composer heard her perform the Sibelius Concerto in Finland. In March 2013 she gave the work its Icelandic premiere in Reykjavik with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, broadcast live on national radio. Back in December 2011 Jennifer gave the premiere of the Violin Concerto to great acclaim. More

Jennifer’s live recording of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No 5 with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales was featured on the cover disc of the February 2013 edition of the BBC Music Magazine.

ROZSA CONCERTO DISC
Jennifer’s recording of Miklos Rozsa’s sensational Violin Concerto was released on the Chandos label on 1st October 2012, receiving a five star review in BBC Music Magazine. Her interpretation has also been described by Norman Lebrecht in Open Letters Monthly as “the most appealing I have heard since Heifetz. Pike is terrific with the opening movement fireworks and tender in the gorgeous Lento movement.” More

BBC PROMS
Jennifer appeared in the 2012 BBC Proms season. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of Debussy’s birth she performed his wonderful Violin Sonata along with Ravel’s celebrated A minor Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano at Cadogan Hall on Monday July 6th at 1pm.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE
On May 18th 2012 Jennifer performed Elgar’s Salut d’Amour in Buckingham Palace at a dinner hosted by Prince Charles to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra Jennifer was soloist in a programme of British Music for a dinner that was attended by leading members of royal families from around the world.

JENNIFER’S 5 STAR DEBUT DISCS
Her recordings of French violin sonatas and music by Miklos Rozsa were released on Chandos in 2011 to rave reviews. The recital disc comprises the violin sonatas by Debussy, Ravel and Franck and the Rozsa disc includes the virtuosic Variations on a Hungarian Peasant Song op 4. These CDs are available from all good record stores and online. More
