JENNIFER AT THE PROMS: Jennifer will be one of four soloists in a newly commissioned work, Sidechaining by David Bruce, to be performed at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 15 July. This forms part of a special Prom celebrating 40 years of the BBC Young Musician competition. The concert will be broadcast live on BBC Four TV and on BBC Radio 3. It will be preceded on BBC Four at 7 pm by a showing of Stradivarius and Me, in which Jennifer joins Clemency Burton-Hill in an exploration of the work of the great violin maker.

DEBUSSY RECORDING IS NO 1 CHOICE ON RECORD REVIEW: Jennifer's recording of Debussy's Violin Sonata with Martin Roscoe, piano, has been recommended as the first choice out of all available recordings in BBC Radio 3's Record Review Building a Library.

JENNIFER ON BBC RADIO 3 IN TUNE, PROMS LAUNCH 2018: Jennifer performs live on BBC Radio 3's In Tune on 19 April. Listen to the broadcast (starts after 1 hr). JENNIFER'S CELEBRATION OF POLISH MUSIC CONTINUES: Following the success of the recent Polish Music Day with Jennifer Pike and Friends for which she was nominated for an RPS Award Jennifer will record a disc of Polish Music with pianist Peter Limonov for Chandos in August. She returns to the Wigmore Hall in October to perform a programme featuring Polish and British Music before heading to Poland for a recital in Katowice. TCHAIKOVSKY AND BRUCH CONCERTOS WITH THE DRESDEN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA: In May Jennifer will be touring the UK with the Dresden Philharmonic under the baton of Michael Sanderling, performing violin concertos by Tchaikovsky and Bruch. The series includes the closing concert of the Perth Festival of the Arts.

JENNIFER IS A JUDGE FOR THE BBC YM STRING FINALS : Jennifer was on the judging panel for the final of this year's BBC Young Musician String Final, shown on BBC Four television on 6 April. This featured five outstanding string players. Watch again here.

JENNIFER RETURNS TO JAPAN: Following successful concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya in recent seasons Jennifer made her debut with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in March, performing Sibelius's Violin Concerto in Tokyo's magnificent Suntory Hall.

JENNIFER PERFORMS MOZART IN GERMANY: Jennifer returned to the Rhineland in March to perform Mozart's A major Violin Concerto with the Rheinische Philharmonie and Garry Walker with concerts in Koblenz and Mayen.

STANDING OVATION FOR JENNIFER'S POLISH MUSIC DAY AT THE WIGMORE HALL: On 14 October Jennifer curated and performed in three concerts in one day devoted to music from five centuries of Poland’s cultural history. Jennifer launched the day with the UK première of Penderecki's Capriccio for solo violin and the world première of a work by Paulina Załubska for violin, harpsichord and electronics commissioned especially for her. The day also included works by Bacewicz, Knapik, Górecki, Lutosławski, Goldberg, Jarzębski, Szymanowski, Karłowicz, Maria Symanowska, Wieniawski, Chopin and Ogiński. JENNIFER PIKE MASTERCLASSES: Jennifer launched her series of violin and chamber music masterclasses around the country working with talented students at Millfield School on 23 February. Next she will present a recital and masterclass at Birmingham Conservatoire on 14 March, followed by a masterclass for the ISM on 21 April in the Embassy Theatre, Central School of Speech and Drama, London. Jennifer is also on the judging panel for the inaugural Stockport International Young Musicians competition on 4 March in her home town.

SIBELIUS VIOLIN CONCERTO ON BBC RADIO 3: Listen to Jennifer's performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Juanjo Mena from a live concert at the Bridgewater Hall last October. It will be broadcast at 2pm on Monday 30 January.

DEBUT WITH THE ROYAL STOCKHOLM PHILHARMONIC: Jennifer performed Dvorak's Violin Concerto to a packed Stockholm Konserthus with Jukka-Pekka Saraste and the RSPO on 19 January 2017. Her performance was acclaimed in the Svenska Dagbladet for its "grace, strength and perfection".

CLASSIC FM BROADCASTS BRUCH WITH RSNO: On 31 October at 8pm Classic FM broadcasts Jennifer's performance of Bruch's Violin Concerto no 1 given earlier this year with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra as part of their 125th anniversary celebrations, conducted by Otto Tausk, at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. NIGHT OF THE PROMS, POLAND: Jennifer performed to an audience of 11,000 in the Atlas Arena, Łódź on 12th March as part of the 'Night of the Proms' tour, which brings classical music to wider audiences worldwide. The programme included music by Beethoven, Vivaldi and Massenet and will be broadcast on Polish TV in early April.

JENNIFER TO PERFORM LARK ASCENDING IN FESTIVAL HALL FIRST WORLD WAR COMMEMORATION: Jennifer opened the programme in the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 6 March with the Philharmonia and Jose Serebrier, playing Vaughan Williams' Lark Ascending.

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY: Jennifer performed the Theme from Schindler's List by John Williams at a special commemoration in London to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, which was attended by more than 200 Holocaust survivors. PREMIERE OF JEREMY PIKE'S VIOLIN SONATA: Jennifer gave the first performance of her father's Violin Sonata in Lincoln Arts Centre on 24 January. The piece was composed to celebrate his 60th birthday and Jennifer performed the work again two days later for the Alnwick Music Society. She talked with Sean Rafferty and her father about the piece and performed the first movement live on BBC Radio 3's In Tune programme on 18th February - listen here. JENNIFER'S RECORDING OF THE MENDELSSOHN IS OUT NOW: Jennifer's new recording of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra has just been released. JENNIFER ON BBC RADIO 3, Monday 5 October: Jennifer performs live and talks to Sean Rafferty about her upcoming concerts, including her "Jennifer Pike and Friends" concert on Saturday 10 October in the Elgar Room, Royal Albert Hall, in which she will direct performances of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings from the violin.

JENNIFER ON CLASSIC FM FULL WORKS CONCERT: Jennifer's performance of Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Saint-Saens and William Kroll's Banjo and Fiddle with the Liverpool Philharmonic was broadcast on Classic FM's Full Works Concert on 4 September. This was recorded live in the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool, on 18 July.

JENNIFER IN MEXICO with the LONDON PHILHARMONIC: In September Jennifer toured Mexico with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Alondra de la Parra as part of the special 2015 'Dual Year' cultural exchange celebrations organised by the goverments of Mexico and the United Kingdom. She performed music by Vaughan Williams and Saint-Saens.

MENDELSSOHN & THE CBSO: Jennifer performed Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, the piece that launched her career 13 years ago, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Lahav Shani in Lichfield Cathedral to a sell-out audience on 8th July. Shortly afterwards she joined the orchestra again with conductor Ed Gardner to record the work for Chandos.

RHINEGOLD LIVE: Jennifer gave a special free rush hour concert in the Conway Hall, London on Wednesday 10 June, which included a free glass of wine and a post-concert question and answer session hosted by the editor of Classical Music Magazine. Further details.

STANDING OVATION IN NEW YORK: Jennifer performed Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending with the New York Chamber Orchestra at her Carnegie Hall debut and in the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center in New York on 15 and 17 May, bringing the audience to their feet. The following day she recorded the piece for Naxos, due for release in 2016.

JENNIFER PERFORMS ON STRADS FOR BBC FOUR TV, Sunday 22 March 8.30pm: Jennifer played on Stradivari violins from the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford for a BBC Four Secret Knowledge programme, 'Stradivarius and Me', originally shown on Monday 15 July.

MASTERCLASS IN BELFAST: Jennifer gave the first masterclass of the year for the Ulster Orchestra on 21 January in the Ulster Hall. She gave guidance to three students from Northern Ireland, see BBC News NI, prior to her performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Ulster Orchestra on Friday 23 January, also in the Ulster Hall.

CHRISTMAS FROM HOLY TRINITY: As an ambassador for the Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts Jennifer starred alongside Katherine Jenkins in the Carol Concert from Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, London on 8 December 2014. Her performances of Vaughan Williams "The Lark Ascending" and Irving Berlin/Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" were broadcast on Classic FM on 23 December and her "White Christmas" performance was shown on Sky Arts throughout the Christmas period in 2014, repeated throughout December 2015. SPECIAL EDITION OF BBC RADIO 3 IN TUNE: Jennifer performed on the live In Tune programme on Thursday 9 October as part of the BBC's Ten Pieces outreach project. She played Kroll's Banjo and Fiddle, Dvorak's Four Romantic Pieces (No 3) and Elgar's Salut d'Amour with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by John Storgards. Programme information.

LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS: Jennifer appeared in the BBC Proms in the Park in Swansea on Saturday 13th September with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, playing the finale of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto as well as Kroll's virtuoso piece Banjo and Fiddle and the Sailor's Hornpipe by Henry Wood. NEW CD OUT NOW: Jennifer's latest CD is an exploration of the music of Bohemian masters. In commemoration of the centenary of the outbreak of World War I it features one of the great masterpieces of the violin repertoire, Janacek's poignant Violin Sonata written in 1914, alongside his other captivating miniatures for violin and piano.  Also on the disc are Josef Suk's haunting and virtuosic Four Pieces for Violin and Piano and Dvorak's ever popular Four Romantic Pieces op 75. As an epilogue to this varied and emotional journey the disc concludes with Dvorak's transcendent Nocturne in B major. It was be released on Chandos on September 1st; and is now available to order.

WESTMINSTER ABBEY: Jennifer played the Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams during the special Commemoration Vigil marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. The service, attended by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall and senior politicians, was held at 10pm on Monday 4 August, broadcast live from Westminster Abbey on BBC TWO. 35th ARTS AND BUSINESS AWARDS: Jennifer played at a star-studded event at the British Film Institute hosted by Classic FM, recognizing partnerships between business and the arts. She performed Vaughan Williams's Lark Ascending and music by Kreisler with pianist Peter Limonov. See the coverage on Classic FM.

JENNIFER AT THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL: Jennifer performed Bruch's Violin Concerto No 1 to a sell out crowd in the Royal Festival Hall, London, with the Philharmonia Orchestra on 10 May. She played on a late great Guarneri del Gesu violin kindly lent by Beare's International Violin Society specially for the occasion.

JENNIFER IN NEW YORK: Jennifer has just returned from performing at a special awards ceremony hosted by Lord Patten at the St Regis Hotel in New York. Another highlight of her trip was an invitation by the chairman of Americans for Oxford, Inc., to be guest speaker at an event encouraging young people in the US to study in the UK.

IN THE CHARTS: Jennifer's new Sibelius CD reached No.7 in the specialist Classical Charts.

SIBELIUS CD: Classic FM Album of the Weekend (29-30March). Jennifer's bestselling new album featuring the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Bergen Philharmonic conducted by Sir Andrew Davis was recently released on Chandos, available here. This CD was the recommended choice of BBC Radio 3's CD Review in March and is a Strad Recommended disc in the June issue. The Herald describes it as "an absolute whopper of a not doubt and do not hesitate to add this one to your collection." Full review.

SWEDISH OVATION: Jennifer recently returned from a tour playing the Sibelius Violin Concerto following the release of her widely acclaimed recording. The tour culminated in a performance in Malmo, Sweden, with the Malmo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nikolaj Znaider, recorded for future broadcast on Swedish Radio. The capacity audience gave Jennifer a standing ovation and they were rewarded with a Bach encore. Listen to the radio broadcast on Swedish Radio. She brings the concerto to Norway with the Oslo Philharmonic, conducted by Jukka-Pekka Saraste, later this year.

BRAHMS CONCERTO BROADCAST: Jennifer's performance of the Brahms Violin Concerto with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in St David's Cathedral given as part of the Fishguard International Music Festival 2014 was recently broadcast on Radio 3.

BBC NEWS: Jennifer played the recently recovered Stradivarius that was stolen at Euston Station three years ago. Her playing was featured in a report for BBC Breakfast and BBC News at One on 18 December. Watch here. The violin was auctioned at Tarisio's later that day.

BRINGING BOHEMIA TO SCOTLAND: Jennifer's Scottish recital tour with music by Janacek, Dvorak and Suk culminated in a recording with Tom Poster on the Chandos label at the end November. This was released in spring 2014 (see above).

PRINCE'S TRUST: Jennifer has been invited to become a Celebrity Ambassador for the Prince's Trust, an honour that will enable her to help in the Trust's work improving the lives of young people.

LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS: Jennifer performed at the BBC Proms in the Park in Glasgow with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra on September 7th to an audience of over 10,000. The event was also broadcast live on radio and television, and highlights were be repeated on BBC 2 Scotland on 28 December. Further details.

NEW CDs: Jennifer's recently released recital disc of sonatas by Robert Schumann, Brahms and Romances by Clara Schumann, available here, has received widespread acclaim. Chandos has also released Chausson’s Concert for Violin, Piano and String Quartet where she is joined by Tom Poster and the Doric Quartet, receiving a 5* review in BBC Music Magazine.

SINGAPORE SYMPHONY: Jennifer made her debut with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra performing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 with Christopher Hogwood on April 13th.

HALLGRIMSSON CONCERTO: This beautiful new concerto by Haflidi Hallgrimsson was commissioned by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and written especially for Jennifer, the inspiration coming after the composer heard her perform the Sibelius Concerto in Finland. In March 2013 she gave the work its Icelandic premiere in Reykjavik with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, broadcast live on national radio. Back in December 2011 Jennifer gave the premiere of the Violin Concerto to great acclaim. The first performances took place in Younger Hall St Andrews and City Halls Glasgow with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, conductor Enrique Mazzola. Read review.

BBC MUSIC MAGAZINE: Jennifer's live recording of Mozart's Violin Concerto No 5 with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales was featured on the cover disc of the February 2013 edition of the BBC Music Magazine.

ROZSA CONCERTO DISC: Jennifer's recording of Miklos Rozsa's sensational Violin Concerto was released on the Chandos label on 1st October 2012, receiving a five star review in BBC Music Magazine. Her interpretation has also been described by Norman Lebrecht in Open Letters Monthly as "the most appealing I have heard since Heifetz. Pike is terrific with the opening movement fireworks and tender in the gorgeous Lento movement." She is partnered by the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Rumon Gamba. The CD is now available at record stores and online.
